Coinciding with the fact that last Monday, February 6, the Day Against Female Genital Mutilation was celebrated worldwide, we take the opportunity to inform that Lleida Primary Care is carrying out an awareness and training campaign on this very topic. The campaign is part of the prestigious Research Project called ISMiHealth (Innovative Tool for Disease Detection and Vaccination for the Immigrant Population at Risk) in which the Institut Català de la Salut participates, among other entities, and the Fundació d’Investigació en Atenció Primària IDIAP Jordi Gol i Gurina.

On February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science was celebrated. Without a doubt, it is a good moment to vindicate the women who work at IDIAP Jordi Gol. Both those responsible for the Project Management Unit, the technical department, the Corporate Resources Area and, above all, our researchers. All work for science and research in the field of primary care.
A study conducted by ICS Primary Care professionals has evaluated the efficacy of an intervention designed to improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2). The clinical trial was carried out in 11 Primary Care Centers in Barcelona, Girona and Lleida and the intervention was carried out in 225 patients with poor glycemic control.
