About us
Fundació Institut Universitari per a la Recerca a l'Atenció Primària de Salut Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol) is a centre of reference in research and health promotion at the primary health care level that aims to promote and develop innovation, clinical, epidemiological and health services research in the field of primary health care. We also offer training to generate knowledge, disseminate results and transfer them to clinical practice. Our aim is to bring efficiency to the health system and promote the well-being of individuals.
Jordi Gol i Gurina Foundation was created in 1996 by the Catalan Institute of Health, in order to promote and manage innovation, training, teaching and clinical research, epidemiology and health services in the field of primary care. Since 2006 it has been called Fundació Institut Universitari per a la Recerca a l'Atenció Primària de Salut Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol). In 2010 it was assigned to the UAB as a university institute for primary care research.
The foundation is named after Dr. Jordi Gol i Gurina (1924-1985), a dedicated physician to human welfare.
