Two Lleida Primary Care professionals win a scholarship at the XII FAECAP Congress in Granada

Sonia Sans and Gemma Amat, nurses from the Lleida Primary Care CAP Balaguer, have won the scholarship for Best Research Project during the XII FAECAP Congress thanks to the study "Clinical trial on the effectiveness of self-care educational programs in heart failure care primary school according to educational intensity".

A study of COVID-19 on the pediatric population reaffirms the low risk of vaccines 

A new study on COVID-19 vaccines looks at surveillance systems and critical clinical trials among the pediatric population. The conclusions of the study validate these vaccines for the pediatric population and show that adverse reactions to the administration of the vaccine are, for the most part, common.

The "Equity and Menstrual Health" study ends, a research that has made visible inequities and menstrual health in Spain

Researcher Laura Medina Perucha, from the Jordi Gol i Gurina Primary Care Research Institute (IDIAPJGol), has coordinated the Menstrual Equity and Health study in Spain, a study funded by the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health. The aim of the study was to describe and understand inequities and menstrual health in women and people who menstruate (PM) between the ages of 18 and 55 in Spain. To achieve the results, the research team has carried out studies with three population groups: women and PMs, men and experts in equity and menstrual health. The projects awarded with the 2022 Research Challenge deal with abortion, hip transplants and diabetes

Last week, the 2022 Research Challenge prizes were awarded in Lleida. This call is open to professionals who are in the initial phase of their career as researchers and want to promote projects with an impact on health. It is a call promoted by the ICS and the Territorial Management of Innovation, Research and Teaching. IDIAPJGol has offered methodological support to the participants.

Tobbgest, a project, based on gamification, for pregnant smokers to quit the habit

A new project led by Cristina Rey, a research technician at the USR Camp in Tarragona of the IDIAP Jordi Gol i Gurina, and Jordi Duch, a researcher at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, aims to end tobacco addiction in pregnant people through of an application for mobile devices designed ad hoc. Since March 1, the project has entered the recruitment phase of pregnant people who want to participate in the project, up to a total of 400 pregnant women who will be followed for 12 months. The Sexual and Reproductive Health Care Centers (ASSIR) of Camp de Tarragona and Central Catalonia are in charge of finding the participating people.
