The coordinator of the Primary Care Clinical Research Management Agency (AGICAP) at IDIAPJGol, Ernest Vinyoles, has been appointed permanent associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the Clinical Campus of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona.

Vinyoles is a family physician at the La Mina Primary Care Centre of the Catalan Health Institute and has been teaching at the University of Barcelona since 2009, until now as an associate lecturer.

His teaching activity focuses on family medicine, particularly in areas such as hypertension and cardiovascular risk.

His research activity has mainly focused on promoting clinical trials in prevalent primary care conditions, including cardiovascular, respiratory and infectious diseases, as well as vaccines and reproductive health.
