A study involving IDIAPJGol highlights opportunities to strengthen early HIV diagnosis in primary care

  • 01 JULY 2025

IDIAPJGol researcher Oriol Cunillera has actively contributed to the development of the article “Implicit bias in HIV testing based on indicator conditions in primary care: a population-based study in Catalonia, Spain, 2017 to 2021”, recently published in the scientific journal EuroSurveillance. The study, led by the research group from the Centre for Epidemiological Studies on Sexually Transmitted Infections and AIDS in Catalonia (CEEISCAT), from IGT and IDIAPJGol, analyzes the extent to which HIV tests are performed in primary care following the diagnosis of an indicator condition (IC), as recommended by the World Health Organization and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
