Childhood overweight and obesity fell slightly in Spain between 2005 and 2017

A study by IDIAPJGol used data from more than 2.5 million minors in 8 autonomous communities. The researchers found that differences persist between communities and between boys and girls.

The IDIAPJGol has studied the relationship between obesity and Covid-19 in two new scientific articles

One of the investigations analyzes the characteristics of Covid-19 patients with and without obesity. The other study examines the risk of diagnosis, hospitalization, and death with Covid-19 based on body mass index.

The clinical trial of the HIPRA vaccine against COVID-19 is progressing with the administration of the first doses to humans

This week the vaccine began to be administered to the first volunteers participating in Phase I/IIa of the trial at the Hospital Trueta in Girona and the Hospital Universitari Clínic in Barcelona.
