The IDIAPJGol and the ICS promote a pioneering research in the state to know how the aging process of the balance system is and the biological markers that influence it. The CAP Maresme offers tests to detect early the risk of falls to people between 68 and 71 years old and help them prevent them.

A retreat to add collaborations

Four IDIAPJGol researchers and one group awarded by the Academy of Medical Sciences

The doctor Rafael Azagra was recognized with the Jordi Gol y Gurina Award for his career, Dr. Enric Aragonés was awarded by CAMFiC for the best article published in the field of Family Medicine, Dr. José María Palacín won the Josep Davins i Miralles prize for the best healthcare quality project, Dra. Alba Martínez Escudé was distinguished as the best doctoral thesis by CAMFiC and the GRemHAp obtained the Josep Trueta prize for the trajectory of a research group.

Lars Bjerrum: "There are global problems that can only be addressed through international collaboration"
