As stated on the World Health Organization (WHO) website, the registration of all interventional clinical trials is considered a scientific, ethical and moral responsibility.
The mission of the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP) is to ensure that decision-makers in the field of health care have access to a comprehensive view of clinical trials already conducted. It is a resource for improving the transparency of research and, fundamentally, strengthens the validity and value of scientific databases. (Source: http://www.who.int/ictrp/es/trp/es/)
With this same objective, in December 2019 the Comitè Internacional d’Editors de Revistes Mèdiques (ICMJE) established as a requirement the registration of clinical trials in public and validated databases before their publication.
IDIAPJGol proposes the website www.ClinicalTrials.gov as a clinical trial registration platform, as it meets all ICMJE requirements: http://www.icmje.org/about-icmje/faqs/clinical-trials-registration/
