Understanding the first wave of COVID-19 and implications for tackling the ongoing pandemic: evidence from 5.5 million people from Catalonia, Spain
Health outcomes during the first wave of COVID-19 in Catalonia, Spain, have been described in detail in a study published by Nature Communications Nature Communications. These findings provide new insights into the early months of the pandemic and will help to inform the ongoing response, such as vaccination strategies.
We invite you to participate in this study that is carried out in Spain and in different Latin American countries. The results will allow us to know how the pandemic is living and thus, make suggestions for planning policies that improve the health of the population.

Data from the European Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Network (EARS-Net) indicate that in 2015 around 33,000 deaths were attributable to antibiotic resistance. And that by 2050 it could reach 10 million deaths.
Persistent COVID -19 is defined as the presentation of symptoms lasting more than 4 weeks from the onset of the COVID -19 disease. Its presentation, which is not related to the severity of the acute phase, is estimated to affect 10% of patients. The most frequent symptoms are dyspnea, cough, asthenia, headache and abdominal pain among others. These patients are usually cared for in primary care.
