IDIAPJGol inaugurates a new space for scientific and training sessions for the research community
This is an innovative program of conferences and seminars aimed at enhancing research and scientific training at the Institute
L’IDIAPJGol has launched a new space for scientific, doctoral, and training sessions to promote knowledge dissemination and foster scientific debate among its research community. This program includes various lectures delivered by experts from different fields, as well as presentations of ongoing research by the Institute’s doctoral students.
The scientific sessions will take place throughout the year, addressing current topics in the field of health. The first of these sessions was held on Wednesday, January 29, and was led by David Verde, head of L’IDIAPJGol’s Innovation Agency. The session focused on how to deliver an effective elevator pitch, a highly useful format for communicating projects at conferences and competitive calls.
Other noteworthy sessions will include studies on the relationship between personality and health (led by Yudy Young, from USR Girona, in March), orthostatic hypertension and blood pressure (Ernest Vinyoles, USR Barcelona, in May), biomarkers in long COVID (Diana Puente, UTR, in October), and an analysis of mental health in adolescents and young people from a gender perspective (Claudia Guzmán and Ana Lozano, in November).
Additionally, the doctoral sessions will provide insights into the ongoing research of IDIAPJGol’s PhD students. Among the research topics addressed this year are the impact of COVID-19 vaccination on neurological adverse effects (José Martín Solórzano González), the diagnostic approach to atrial fibrillation in high-risk patients (Alba Hernández Pinilla), and the effects of climate change on mental health (Irene Ripoll Murcia).
