The IDIAPJGol, in collaboration with the European Citizenship Point (PEC) of the Ministry of Culture, is organizing a thematic session on November 19 focused on the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) funding program of the European Commission. This program aims to promote collaboration between the health and social sectors in the development of projects for future calls for proposals.

The session will take place in the auditorium of the Catalan Health Institute (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 587, Barcelona) and will also be available online. Registration will close on November 3.

Four Pillars

The CERV program is based on four pillars: equality, civic engagement and participation, the fight against violence, and the protection of democratic values in the European Union. In this regard, it funds projects that strengthen social cohesion, the rule of law, and the fight against discrimination, hate, and violence.

All organizations in the social and health sectors interested in obtaining funding for their lines of work or areas of influence related to any of the program's strategic pillars are invited to participate in the session.

Following the institutional opening of the event, the technical advisor of the PEC, Manuel García, will discuss the pillars of CERV, the opportunities the program offers, and recommendations for submitting proposals.

Success Stories

Next, the deputy director of IDIAPJGol, Anna Berenguera, will discuss the role of the Institute as a relevant actor in CERV. Following this, there will be a roundtable discussion addressing three success stories—projects that have been funded by the program. The projects to be presented in this roundtable are L-Health, led by the researcher from the USR Girona of IDIAPJGol, Anna Ponjoan; NETCO (Network of Cities for Collaborative Housing), which focuses on collaborative housing policies and will be explained by housing policy consultant Maite Arrondo; and Father’s Rock, which addresses the prevention of gender-based violence in the perinatal environment, presented by Berta Vall, a professor at the Blanquerna Foundation (Universitat Ramon Llull).

The session will conclude with brief presentations in pitch format, where representatives of attending organizations, both in person and virtually, will have the opportunity to introduce themselves as potential partners for future CERV program projects and to explain any initiatives that align with their objectives.

We encourage all organizations wishing to participate in the session (including those that do not present) to complete all fields of the registration form, as this will help generate a contact list of organizations interested in preparing proposals under the CERV program, which will be made available to participants when the registration period closes.
