The projects awarded with the 2022 Research Challenge deal with abortion, hip transplants and diabetes

Last week, the 2022 Research Challenge prizes were awarded in Lleida. This call is open to professionals who are in the initial phase of their career as researchers and want to promote projects with an impact on health. It is a call promoted by the ICS and the Territorial Management of Innovation, Research and Teaching. IDIAPJGol has offered methodological support to the participants.Fotonoti repterecerca2022

This year the winning projects of the 6,000 euro grant were:

 

  • 1st Prize: "Study on the effectiveness of hysteroembryoscopy for the etiological diagnosis of recurrent first-trimester abortion and its impact on the woman's reproductive future". Author: Laura Melé Olivé (Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital).
  • 2nd Prize: "Study of the impact of sleep health on knee and hip arthroplasty procedures in Lleida". Author: Jordi Colomina Morales (Santa Maria University Hospital).
  • 3rd Prize: "Effect of chronosynchronization on the metabolic evolution of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus". Author: Gemma Amat Camats and collaborators (EAP Balaguer).

This was the second edition of the Research Challenge and this year the theme was free. In the last edition, the projects had to be focused on the COVID-19. In this edition, there was a 40% increase in participation.
