The Jordi Gol i Gurina University Institute for Primary Care Research (IDIAPJGol), the Territorial Management of the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS) in Central Catalonia and the Dr. Antoni Esteve Foundation call for the 'Centra't' grants for the first time . In total, three grants will be awarded to professionals who finish the Family and Community Medicine MIR in the 2022-2023 academic year and who will have access to a one-year contract, with a possible extension for another year, to develop their career in the fields of research and care at the same time.

Specifically, the people who obtain the aid will be able to dedicate 16 hours a week to completing their doctorate, through the IDIAPJGol, and 24 hours to healthcare work as a specialist in Family Medicine at the ICS Catalunya Central.

Recruitment of talent to ensure generational change

The purpose of this call is to collaborate in the comprehensive training of young Family and Community Medicine professionals, giving them the opportunity to carry out a research work that may be the basis of their doctoral thesis and, in parallel, continue with the care, teaching and university in the territory.

In the context of Central Catalonia, the recruitment and retention of talent is essential to ensure generational change in the care, teaching and research fields, taking into account the double teaching component of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
