A team of researchers has won the award in the field of health and life sciences, in the ex ante mode. The awardees are Josep Basora Gallisà, Joaquín Escribano Subías, Ricardo Closa Monasterolo, Veronica Luque Moreno, Albert Feliu Rovira and Mariona Gispert Llauradó, of the Research Unit in Pediatrics, Nutrition and Human Development (URPNDH).

The award-winning project is called "Implementation in the Primary Care Centers of the Method and the motivational interview used in the OBEMAT 2.0 study, in order to reduce childhood obesity". It is a project coordinated by the URV with the participation of the IDIAPJGol and the IISPV in addition to other health centers of the Tarragona field. Researchers have conducted a multicentric clinical trial for the motivational treatment of the obesity child, designing a structured methodology and creating educational materials that can be implemented in normal clinical practice.

The purpose of this award is to identify and recognize the best experiences in defining, analysing and contributing evidence of the social impact of research carried out at the URV, and to move towards a culture that integrates the social impact at different stages of the scientific process.
