On May 26, a presentation day was held for the Jordi Gol i Gurina Primary Care Research Institute (IDIAPJGol) at the Blanquerna headquarters in Madrid. Some forty personalities from the research sector, family medicine and the pharmaceutical industry attended this event with the aim of publicizing the challenges and achievements of the institute's 25-year history.

During the session, different people in charge of IDIAPJGol announced the Institute. The meeting was opened by the director, Josep Basora, accompanied by those responsible for the Carlos III Health Institute, who explained the trajectory of the institution as well as the challenges for the future. Next, Ernest Vinyoles, coordinator of AGICAP, introduced this organization dedicated to the management and promotion of clinical drug trials. It covers the entire territory of Catalonia, and has 340 accredited researchers with experience in conducting clinical trials.

Later, Boni Bolibar, scientific director of the IDIAPJGol, explained the participation of the IDIAPJGol in the SCREN and ECRIN network and in the Pharmacotherapeutic Harmonization Program (PHF) of the Servei Català de la Salut.

There was also an opportunity to present the institute's Real World Lab, a living lab with unique characteristics that takes advantage of the entire Primary Care network of Catalonia to offer validation services, user experience, socio-economic impact or co-creation, among others, for technology companies, start-ups, spin-offs, research centers and investors regarding medical devices, health apps and platforms, AI or any health technology in development or implementation. I present it to David Verde, head of innovation at IDIAPJGol.

Maria Aragón, coordinator of SIDIAP, spoke about the Information System for the Development of Research in Primary Care (SIDIAP) and other international collaborative networks.

Finally, Anna Berenguera, coordinator of the Transversal Research Unit, spoke about this unit which, apart from developing its own studies, supports Primary Care professionals in fields such as qualitative research, epidemiology, statistical analysis or economic evaluations, among others.
