The researcher Laura Medina Perucha obtains a Sara Borrell scholarship granted by the Carlos III Health Institute
This aid, the first of its kind for an IDIAPJGol professional, will allow the researcher's training to be perfected.
Researcher Laura Medina Perucha is a psychologist and doctor from the University of Bath (United Kingdom). Currently, he is part of the GRenSSAP research group (Research Group on Health Services in Primary Care) and leads a new pioneering line of research in Spain in Menstrual Health and Equity.
Obtaining the Sara Borrell scholarship will allow consolidating her research at IDIAP Jordi Gol as well as perfecting her postdoctoral training. In addition to its integration into the GRenSSAP, Medina Perucha also collaborates with other Institute projects such as ISAAC-CAT (a project financed by the Marató de TV3 with the aim of evaluating two interventions in reducing the unnecessary prescription of antibiotics) or different projects with citizen participation on Covid-19.
The Sara Borrell contracts are awarded by the Carlos III Health Institute and have a duration of three years with the aim of incorporating young doctors into the field of health sciences and technologies.
