In a recent systematic review publication in the international journal Palliative Medicine, Matthew Grant et al. From the Universities of Melbourne and Utrecht make a special mention of HexCom as the most comprehensive instrument for assessing complexity in palliative care.

In recent months, the PADES-Granollers, within the GREMSAS group, has published three articles: description of complexity in home care (Journal of Multidisciplinary Research in Healthcare), evolution of complexity over time (Palliative Medicine), and face validity of the HexCom (Healthcare) model.
