INPhINIT Retaining "la Caixa" doctoral scholarships

The "La Caixa" Social Foundation opens two calls for pre-doctoral scholarships: the INPhINIT Incoming and the INPhINIT Retaining. The first are to attract talent that has not worked in Spain in the last 12 months, and the second are to retain talent that has worked in Spain in the last year.

30 doctoral scholarships for young researchers of any nationality to carry out their research activity in any discipline and at any university or research center in Spain or Portugal.

Endowment: € 122,592 for salary and social security, to be distributed over 3 years.

Elegibility
- Experience:

At the closing date of the call, candidates must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research career and have not previously obtained a doctoral degree or be in a position to apply for it.

 

- Academic record: At the time of hiring, candidates must meet one of the following options:

- Have completed the studies that lead to obtaining an official Spanish university degree (or from another country in the European Higher Education Area) of 300 ECTS credits, of which at least 60 credits must correspond to a master's level.
- Have completed a degree at a university not adapted to the European Higher Education Area that provides access to doctoral studies. Verification of the level of studies equivalent to those mentioned above will be carried out by the university when the admission procedure begins. 

 

Mobility:
For candidates who wish to do a doctorate at Spanish centers or universities: candidates must have resided or have carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than twelve months in the three years immediately prior to the date of closing of the call.
For candidates who wish to do a doctorate in Portuguese universities: candidates must have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Portugal for more than twelve months in the three years immediately prior to the closing date of the summons.

 

Candidates who obtain a scholarship will have to study for their doctorate at a university or research center where they have not previously completed a bachelor's or bachelor's degree.
- Level of English: Candidates must have a demonstrable level of English (B2 or higher).
