Selection Process

The IDIAPJGol selection process is defined by the ISO 9001:2015 standard (ER-0821) and consists of the following stages: (PR-05)

  • Assistance and guidance in drafting the job posting and its content.
  • Public announcement of the vacancy on the IDIAPJGol website and on other relevant websites, where necessary, such as universities, research centers, and/or general job search websites.
  • Selection of candidates who meet the required profile.

Interviews with candidates (knowledge tests and psychometric tests may be administered depending on the position). We provide a series of documents to facilitate the interview process, such as:

  • IDIAPJGol Staff Selection Manual (IT-085).
  • Staff Selection Interview.
  • Staff Selection Interview Guide for Equal Opportunities,
    Selection of the final candidate.
  • Information on the status of the call for applications on the website.
  • Response to all candidates who applied in response to the call for applications regarding their status.

The selection processes carried out at the Institute aim to select the most suitable individuals for the functions, responsibilities, and tasks of the position they will perform, without their personal characteristics, such as sex, nationality, age, etc., constituting a discriminatory barrier. Merit and academic qualifications are the main selection criteria.

Procedure 07 defines the internal staff selection procedure, outlines the public announcement of the vacancy or newly created position, and requires publishing the job posting on the corporate website, specifically regarding staff recruitment.

The candidate profile is designed based on the job requirements, taking into account all of the candidates’ skills. IDIAPJGol primarily uses external recruitment methods, and the most common sources for finding professionals are: the internet (its own website and others), networking, and professional associations.

Publish offers on the EURAXESS portal

EURAXESS is a portal supported by the European Union, its Member States, and associated countries. It offers information and support services to professional researchers, promotes researcher mobility and professional development, and enhances scientific collaboration between Europe and the world.

Recruitment processes at IDIAPJGol are open and transparent, based on merit (OTM-R). This ensures that candidates with the appropriate profile are hired according to the job postings published on the corporate website under “Work with us” in the “Open Calls” section.

If you need to initiate a recruitment process to find research staff, please contact Laia Alvaro (lalvaro@idiapjgol.org) to ensure the process is carried out effectively and that the call is widely disseminated in the appropriate channels.
