The Barcelona Research Support Unit (USR) is the result of an agreement between IDIAP Jordi Gol and the Catalan Institute of Health.

The objective of this support unit is to organize research in the territory, promoting it, coordinating it, and facilitating the dissemination of its results, in order to respond to questions that have a practical application.

The Research Support Unit provides support tasks to both accredited research groups and individual researchers who work in the Primary Care Managements and in the Barcelona Litoral-Esquerre and Barcelona Muntanya-Dreta Communities.

On the other hand, it carries out training courses in research methodology, and also provides support in the coordination and management of projects, both national and international, as well as proposals for participation in clinical trials through AGICAP.

Also, being functionally within the technical secretariat, we have the support of all territorial health technicians, who identify and support research needs.
