REDCap

REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a data collection software promoted by Vanderbilt University (Nashville, USA). The main features of the application are its flexibility in collecting online data for all types of projects, while at the same time being a secure platform that complies with quality standards and data protection regulations. These characteristics have made REDCap one of the most widely used applications worldwide for research data collection.

IDIAP Jordi Gol obtained the usage license in 2019, and since then it has been managed through the Drug Studies Unit (UEM), mainly for conducting clinical trials and other prospective studies.

    • In order to use REDCap for your project, you can do so by completing the following usage request form:

Teleform

Teleform is software for reading questionnaires completed on paper.

It allows us to read the questionnaires through a scanner and transfer the data directly into a database.

The software:

  • Interprets characters and/or marks made (by hand or computer) and automatically captures the data
  • Reads barcodes (useful for confidential information)
  • Detects incorrect marks, unrecognized characters, etc., and identifies them for later review and correction
