The AFAI Project addresses the critical problem of atrial fibrillation (AF), the third leading cause of death in the world with 27,800 cases per year in Spain, through the development of the “AFAI” algorithm. This solution, integrated into the electronic medical record, offers effective support for medical decision-making, improving the management of AF and reducing clinical variability. With its ease of use, adaptability and updates, AFAI provides suggestions based on updated scientific evidence to improve patient safety, representing an advanced tool to prevent stroke and improve the quality of healthcare, as well as determine the best pharmacological treatment in patients with atrial fibrillation.
