Viladecans The Style Outlets held the award ceremony for the II VTSO Health Innovation Award on December 11, during which the winning project was announced.

The purpose of the award, which comes with €15,000 and is supported by IDIBELL – XarSMART, is to promote the transfer to the market and society of high-level projects in the fields of medical products, digital health, and advanced therapies.

The ODISEA project, presented in the Digital Health category by the Girona Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBGI), the University Institute for Primary Care Research (IDIAP Jordi Gol), and the Josep Trueta University Hospital of Girona, proposes the development of software to improve the care process for acute myocardial infarction by optimizing coordination and information flow among the healthcare professionals responsible for the patients. The result is a significant reduction in treatment time and better case selection.

ODISEA is led by Doctors Jaime Aboal (IDIBGI/Joan XXIII/UdG) and Rafael Ramos (IDIAPJGol/IDIBGI/UdG).
