IDIAPJGol is committed to promoting equality between women and men in all its activities and to overcoming the gender gap. The Institute expresses this commitment through its First Equal Opportunities Plan, a tool aimed at integrating the gender perspective into all areas of management and organizational culture, from staff recruitment and promotion to working conditions, training, and work-life balance.

Currently, the IDIAPJGol workforce is made up of 105 people, of whom 62.86% are women, a figure that reflects the leading role of female talent within the institution.

In the scientific field, where women have historically been underrepresented in positions of responsibility, IDIAPJGol promotes more equitable working environments. In this regard, two of the three members of the centre’s Management Committee are women.

Equality as an essential value

The Equality Plan establishes specific actions to incorporate the gender perspective into people management, promote shared responsibility in work-life balance, and ensure non-sexist institutional communication. In addition, the plan includes awareness-raising and training measures to identify possible gender biases, as well as actions to reduce horizontal and vertical segregation within the organization.

“The Institute believes in equal employment opportunities for all staff, regardless of personal circumstances, and ensures that no employee, supplier, client or collaborator receives unfavourable treatment or is subject to discrimination on the grounds of sex, age, marital status, race, sexual condition, nationality, religion or physical condition,” the Plan states.

Within the framework of 8M, IDIAPJGol recalls that equality is a cross-cutting value that forms part of its institutional culture and its commitment to more fair and representative research for society.
