The RBEC are responsible for implementing the Emotional Ventilation (VE) programme and are the key figures in this project, through which the emotional well-being of Primary Care professionals is promoted and protected.
The event hosted several round tables featuring RBEC from different territories across Catalonia, where they shared and discussed their experience and the activities they carry out to support their colleagues at the CAP centres. In the afternoon, several practical workshops were organised, focused on strengthening their skills in facilitating Emotional Ventilation groups and other psychoeducational groups.
The event also included lectures by Primary Care experts such as Alberto López García-Franco, family physician and communicator on the relationship between Cinema and Medicine; Isabel del Cura, family physician and researcher in the RICAPPS network; Rosa Vivanco, director of the Evaluation and Quality Area at AQuAS; and Enric Aragonès, principal investigator of the Mestral Project, as well as speeches by Josep Basora, director of the Jordi Gol Primary Healthcare Research Institute (IDIAPJGol), and Ariadna Mas, deputy to the ICS Management. “In addition to the training and scientific content, the main objective of the event is to strengthen the RBEC’s sense of belonging to a large-scale health research project,” Aragonès emphasised.
The Mestral Project (“Evaluation of the usefulness and feasibility of a psychoeducational intervention to prevent the negative psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on primary care health professionals”) was launched in 2022 at the initiative of the ICS Primary Care Directorate and IDIAPJGol. Its purpose is to evaluate the implementation process of the Emotional Ventilation programme, created to promote the emotional well-being of frontline professionals. Managed by Guillem Aragonès, IDIAPJGol participates in the project by providing scientific methodology for its implementation and for the evaluation of outcomes.
