On October 15, 2024, the Jordi Gol i Gurina Primary Health Care Research Institute (IDIAPJGol) is organizing the IV Innovation Conference, which will take place in the auditorium of the Vèrtex Building, in Plaça Eusebi Güell, in Barcelona. The event, organized in collaboration with the Carlos III Health Institute and co-financed by the Strategic Plan for Innovation in Health (PERIS) of the Catalan Ministry of Health, will focus on social entrepreneurship in the field of health.
The objective of this conference is to highlight how social entrepreneurship, driven by individuals, groups or emerging companies, can provide innovative solutions to address social and health challenges. The event will offer a space to share experiences and perspectives between researchers, entrepreneurs and other actors in the health sector, through the creation of synergies and promoting a more social approach to research.
The program includes presentations by experts such as Maite Fibla, co-founder of Ship2B Ventures, Alexandre Perera, director of the Centre for Research in Biomedical Engineering, and Francesc Iglesias, from the Institut Català de Salut, among others. In addition, success stories will be presented such as that of Succipro, an initiative that has transformed science into market innovation.
