Felipe Villalobos, new Secretary General of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance

The IDIAPJGol researcher has been democratically elected to the position for the next four years

IDIAPJGol researcher Felipe Villalobos has been elected as the new Secretary-General of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP), the leading global organization representing professionals in the field of drug safety. The announcement was made during the society’s annual meeting, held in Cairo from 24 to 27 October 2025, where the new board for the 2025–2028 term was elected.

Villalobos’s appointment strengthens IDIAPJGol’s position in the international arena and opens new opportunities for cooperation and the development of joint projects with key organizations in the field of pharmacovigilance.

More than 1,200 members

ISoP is an international, non-profit scientific organization with more than 1,200 members across 108 countries, dedicated to promoting drug safety and improving pharmacovigilance practices worldwide.

Its mission is to foster scientific knowledge, establish good practices, build professional networks, organize training and scientific activities, and raise awareness among professionals and the public about the detection and prevention of adverse drug reactions.

ISoP facilitates the exchange of experience among experts, promotes international collaboration, and contributes to the continuous improvement of pharmacological safety.
