
The GREMSAS is made up of 26 members and has been accredited as a consolidated inter-institutional group in the SGR-Cat 2021 call. It is a group of researchers who come from the University Institute for Research in Primary Care (IDIAP J Gol) and the departments of Nursing and of Computer Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
MISSION: GREMSAS’s mission is to promote and develop research in Primary and Community Health Care, addressing aspects related to social determinants of health, in order to generate knowledge, disseminate its results and transfer them to society to improve people’s health. , this also implies training researchers who can join the lines of research and deepen the knowledge and experience of the group.
VISION: GREMSAS wants to be a research group especially focused on Primary Care, a reference in the interaction between health and the most relevant social phenomena in our environment, both nationally and internationally; involving both citizens and health professionals and generating the capacity to influence health policies.
GREMSAS wants to place at the center of its research perspective the interactions between the health of people and the community and the social phenomena that condition them over time, in this sense it will focus on five ideas.
