The World Health Organisation (WHO), believes that the registration of all clinical trials is a scientific, ethical and moral responsibility.

The mission of the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform is to ensure that a complete picture of research is available to all those involved in health care decision-making. This will improve the transparency of research and ultimately strengthen the validity and value of scientific evidence. (Source: http://www.who.int/ictrp/es/)

In 2005 the Internacional Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) called for clinical trials to be registered in validated, public databases prior to publication.

The IDIAPJGol encourages the use of the platform  www.ClinicalTrials.gov to register clinical trials, since it meets all the requirements of ICMJE: http://www.icmje.org/about-icmje/faqs/clinical-trials-registration/
