Study Group of Musculoskeletal Diseases in Primary Care
Description
This group is constituted mainly by primary care professionals of the National Health Service from the Baix Llobregat Primary Care Service of the Catalan Institute of Health (CHI). Since 2004, the GEPALAP Group has conducted research projects with the aim tro improve the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases with physiotherapy and rehabilitation. In addition, three investigators of the Physiotherapy Research Unit of the Health Sciencies University of Zaragoza and lecturers at the International University of Catalonia are also members of the GEPALAP research team. The main goal of this group is to advance the efficacy and effectiveness of physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and to evaluate and validate measurement instruments of the clinical variables.
