Primary Care and Mental Health Research Group
Description
This research group is made up of professionals and researchers from primary health care in south metropolitan Barcelona and the Parc Sanitari Joan de Deu and it participates in the mental Health area of the ISCIII-accredited redIAPP network.
Its main focus is research related to mental pathologies in primary health care, and it participates in projects related to epidemiology (determination of prevalence, incapacity and needs of patients with mental disorders in primary health care), the analysis of the effectiveness of treatment (evaluation of the effectiveness of anti-depressants and the description of the patterns of treatment in primary health care), and finally the evaluation of the suitability of these treatments and the improvement of the quality of life of patients with mental disorders.
