Oldest' CharacTheristic and Assessments - Baix Llobregat study's group
Description
The OCTABAIX study group developed around a group of professionals in nursing and clinical laboratories, epidemiologists, family doctors and geriatricians from different districts of primary Health care (Baix Llobregat Nord, Baix Llobregat Centre and Hospitalet de Llobregat) and from the Bellvitge Hospital, and collaborates with IDIAP Jordi Gol (metropolitan south Research Support unit) and the University of Barcelona (Nursing School). The groups main objective is research related to ageing, and in particular with the oldest section of the population to improve the quality of life of the over 80s.
